xp1patch.bif needed?
« on: October 27, 2014, 05:51:07 am »

Just installed NWN Diamond (GOG download), then installed 1.69 Critical Rebuild.  I noticed "xp1patch.bif" is not in the NWN\data folder.  Is this deliberate?

No. That file should be in your folder - it is in my installation of the game (but I have Gold installed). Did you delete it by accident?

No chance I deleted it by accident.  Anyone else with NWN Diamond (GOG), can you confirm?

I'd think the core file structure and location would be the same across all versions. Let me check my son's installation - he has the GOG versin - and I'll get back to you.

EDIT: No xp1patch.bif in his installation. Looking at the content of the xp1patch.bif from my Gold installation, I see that all the files in that .bif are included in the xp2patch.bif. Therefore, it would appear that if you have HotU installed, you don't need the xp1patch.bif.
