CEP 2.4a not recognised by my NWN
« on: August 29, 2013, 10:28:16 pm »

               Hey all

Recently I reinstalled Neverwinter Nights, along with both expansions (it's the Deluxe Edition). I decided to give the CEP a go, as I've heard good things about it.

My problem is that, after copying the CEP's .hak files into the NWN/hak folder and the tlk files into the NWN/tlk folder, none of the CEP's content is showing up ingame. I can't access the modules on the toolset, either.

I've updated to 1.69 after downloading the NWNEnglish1.69HotUUpdate.exe, and as the title says, I've downloaded the 2.4a version of CEP.

Any help would be great. Cheers.

               (1) Because you are asking about custom content, you'll get better responses asking people in that part of the forum.

(2) Custom Content does not show up in game unless you are playing a module that makes use of it. Using the toolset you associate custom content with a module by editing module properties and heading over to the custom content pane. Give it a go.

Thanks for the reply. It's been a while since I've been on these forums - had no idea there was a custom content and community expansion section 'til now.

What about part 2 of my reply?

Open up a toolset and try associating CEP with a module and let us know how it goes.

While you are at it, I suggest looking at other custom content such as:

Project Q
Medieval City
Custom Content Challenges

If you are more interested in making NWN look better, check out the facelift patch haks

The CEP and other HAKs are resources for making modules. It sounds like you want overrides to make modules you are playing look better.
