NWN1 same old windows 7 1.69 patch problems

               hello various people with similer intrests to my own, im new here though ive known of the place for years when i tried to make NWN1 work on my computer the first time. im using windows 7 now, diamond edition of nwn. i successfuly instaled and used the 1.69 patch, but i have truly mind boggling lag, its so bad that some modules will just freeze (usualy when in a area with snow, fire, animations like that) i understand i need to update my drivers (dont think my sound drive needs that much) but i have no idea how and other places ive asked told me its a hopeless cause for the hardwhere i got. but i wanted to ask you guys because im sure youve heard it all befor.

my vid is NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

i couldent find out my sound.

i should have enough ram and hardrive for this becaue i run NWN2 pretty well. so whats up?

If you install something like Piriform's Speccy, you could give us a better handle on your rig.

It sounds like your computer is quite skookum enough... so first things second (after learning your specs), Have you applied the 1.69 Critical Rebuild (check out Neverwinternights.info)?

Right, third, Try reducing all your graphic/sound options to ridiculously cartoonish low-levels and gradually increase them to see if you can figure out where the lag is coming from.

Just be sure you do the second... <first>
