Excuse me? Can anyone out there try to help me out here please?

I recently Bought a new graphics card for my pc.
https://www.overcloc...rodid=GX-301-AS
I then grabbed the latest AMD graphics drivers for it, but when I load up my NwN 1 game, it comes up with this. '<img'> http://img32.imagesh...nloginerror.jpg
I assume this is just like a crash, as it sends me back to my desktop afterwards.'<img'>

I went searching around the net, and tried using older AMD Drivers than the most recent and newest ones.
I was able to use the older ones to load up the game enough to get into a custom demo game module, but evertything was really slow and I couldn't move my playable character around a lot. It felt like an enourmous amount of lag that online servers get sometimes.

There is 1 good thing about this right now.
The toolset loads up fine with new drivers at least. I just wish I knew how to fix this problem with my game.

Does anyone know of any solution I could try please?
If possible, are there any other driver types I could use that anyone might know of?

If there's any solution at all possible that would help to fix my problem, can anyone give me any advice on what to do please? I'm rather stuck here, and I don't really know what to do.

Can anyone try to help me out here please?

I haven't used ATI for years.  But when I did, I remember something about neededing the 32bit Catalist Software/Drivers on the 64bit OS to play 32bit accelerated games properly.  I did this for a few games.  I know it actually helped DA:O and Left 4 Dead 2 years ago to run the 32bit instead of the 64bit.

Do you have the ability to try that?  Like I said I don't remember all the details but I recall some games just not working at all.

I will ask a few people that might still be running ATI.

Thank you for your helpful reply.'<img'>

You seem to be a bit more clued in on the technical side of things than I am.
When you say "64 bit OS," (I know that "OS" refers to operating system) i.e. in my "Display "Properties" Panel, I have just 2 options for my colour quality. 16bit and 32bit. So 32bit is the highest one I can use there. I don't see 64bit as an option there.

Also, my drivers are of the AMD Catalyst type. But if I don't have 64bit as I have pointed out, will I need something slightly different than 32bit drivers? (something more suitable for my 32bit OS)

Does my reply enable you to give me any more advice you might be able to aid me with here at all?

Edit : As I wasn't sure what operating system I have, I had a check round with "youtube" and came up with this clip which was very helpful to me.
I now know for sure that my OS is most definiitely 32 bit, and not 64.'B)'

Windows comes to market wearing several possible sets of clothing.  If you want to actually get use of more than 3.3 GBs of system memory, you must purchase Windows/64.  The older Windows is "X86" and only has a 32 bit memory management system, which is limited to only enough addresses for 4 GBs of RAM.  For various housekeeping purposes, 700 MBs start out reserved for Windows to use for its own activities.

Graphics cards deal with a different system, in which the number of colors is limited to some extension also described as 32 bit.  It is a separate, and distinct aspect of Windows computing.

I built this particular computer I am using tonight very specifically for KotOR, which runs the same game engine as NWN1 does.  I previously had a Radeon X850 XT in here, which does have drivers fully compatible with the OpenGL graphics that KotOR and NWN used.  I built it three years ago, using NOS parts I had leftover from years of PC builds, but it was built to a standard for 2008 or so, to avoid problems like yours.

I was having troubles with the X850 fairly recently, and located an X1650 XT to replace it,  I am doubtful about being able to play KotOR with the drivers for that video card, but cannot test at present.  I used Windows98 SE for the old games, not Windows2000 (my preferred X86 OS), nor WindowsXP.

However, everything built to a newer standard I had here all suddenly went down the U/S path.  I had to install XP, which wanted more RAM to run correctly than Windows98 SE knows what to do with, and XP also stepped all over some files that Windows2000 needs, and I haven't sorted that mess out.

AFAIK, the last Radeon cards that worked correctly with OpenGL were the Xn00 generation, and there is another X850 around here, just the X850 Pro, though, and it is practically new also, so when I get another in-between machine for web surfing, I'll try repairing the Win2000 install on this one.

nVIDIA has continued to include a greater level of OpenGL support in its drivers compared to AMD / ATI, but the most recent Geforces and their driver can now create problems for OpenGL games, as well.

LOL sorry I assumed you were using the 64bit version of Windows with that card.

If your Windows is 32bit you will need a 32bit driver.  If you try to install the 64bit it will tell you "I can't do this."  :-)  in non-technical terms.

The Catalist dirver you are running, is it the latest one?  Version 13.1
(Official ATI Site)
Win XP 32bit: www2.ati.com/drivers/13-1_xp32_dd_ccc_whql.exe
Win Vista/Win7/Win8 32bit: www2.ati.com/drivers/13-1_vista_win7_win8_32_dd_ccc_whql.exe

If you are running the latest, you could try installing the one from the CD.  As they advance the drivers some times some legacy support features get lost for newer things,  and some times they get forgotten.  I know 2 or 3 driver updates that made it impossible for me to run Left4Dead2 and Battlefiled 3.  Couldn't run Dragon Age for a whole month once.

If niether one of them work I will check around to see if there is a version with better OpenGL support for you.

Like Gorath Alpha above, I have always had better OpenGL support with Nvidia.  Running Linux instead of Windows I need OpenGL more than DriectX.  In linux you need to emulate Windows Operating Systems to beable to install DriectX.

BTW a little bit of Trivia, graphics cards that say they have 32bit color,  are truely only processing 24bit colors.  The human eye can only sense about 10 Million colors and shades from one another.  And 24bit is capable of displaying over 16 Million.  So over 6 Million colors your card can generate you would never see the diffrence in them and the color next to them if they were all displaied together.  The last 8bits that make up the 32bit color are used for Alpha chanels.  Those are how transparnet the color is so you can see thru it.  This is why they refer to 24bit color as True Color.

''  Computers is crazy peoplez.
