Need help getting NWN to run again...

               So I've been playing NWN off and on with this computer for a while now.  Vista is a pain in the ass, but it worked fine, for the most part.  I had a different graphics card when I installed the game, but the game ran just fine with the new one, at first.  Then, a few weeks ago I finally bothered to update the drivers(I'm lazy like that), and suddenly I can't play NWN anymore.  The game immediately crashes even before the intro movie loads.

So I guess my question is, is there any way to fix this?  Is there a way to roll back to a previous video driver, maybe?  Or some way to get NWN to recognize my video card(which I think may be the problem)?

If it matters, my video card is an AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series.

               Yeah...none of that works.  I'm actually fairly certain it's the driver for my video card, but I have no idea how to go about rolling it back to a previous driver...

               Without all of the missing information, there's no way to deal with the question.  Help yourself first, provide a normal problem report, do the normal things. 

Right now you are sitting at the start line with no tires on your vehicle.  "No data in = No data out".  For all we know, your older model video card was an expensive gangbusters card, and when it had trouble, you got some two for a dollar cheap junk to replace it that has already burned itself up so very quickly and needs replacement itself.

               Not that I actually expect an intelligent answer anymore, but do you even know how to read?  That is a serious question, and not at all sarcastic, so let me state this more clearly:  Learn.  How.  To.  Read.

Is subtlety in writing something that you are unable to grasp?  Do you not understand questions when stated in sentence form(which means, of course, that you simply cannot fathom the meaning of this very question...)?  In that case, let me translate my second post for you:  (I will try and use small words so you can follow it)

Question:  How to rollback driver for video card?

I am neither stupid, nor lazy.  If my video card was broken(or in the midst of breaking), it would not do so only for NWN and the method for fixing that problem is rather clear-cut.  I had already searched for answers, both on this forum(and, in fact, had already perused the very link you 'oh so helpfully' provided) and in various other places.  After spending a fair amount of time searching and finding nothing that seemed to touch on my particular problem, I decided to post a question(and, afterwards, then proceeded to search some more with a broader scope, and stumbled onto a post...somewhere confirming my suspicions that it was, in fact, my updated driver that was causing my problem, hence my second post).  I see now that this was a mistake, because it is clear that the ability to comprehend the written language is a lost art(for some, at least).

However, as I stated previously, I no longer expect an intelligent response anymore, so I shall consider my question answered...with a resounding "Go F*** yourself noob!"

               I have the 6790 running 32 bit XP.  My install was the CDs starting with Gold and andding HoU then installing all of the premium modules.  It stopped working so I uninstalled it and even though there is less content with it I tried installing the GoG version.

With the newer ATI drivers I crash on start up as well.  I tried dropping an older version of atioglxx.dll into the main NWN directory which lets the intro movies play but then the game comes to a blank main menu screen.  From the reading I have done this all indicates a problem relating to the OpenGL drivers for my card.  It seems like ATI broke something NWN needed when they tried to update OpenGL to run Rage smoothly.  The only suggestion I have read that still makes sense besides rolling back the drivers was to modify the registry.  From what I've been able to gather the newer drivers are not updating the registry entries that NWN looks at, but I haven't tried it as I don't care to alter the registry if I don't have to.

               Radeon cards (my included) have series issues with NWN and older openGL applications. If it is a help for you which driver I use see below: (i tested both) driver version = 8.681.0.0

You can also try to get an old opengl.dll and throw it in your NWN root directory. That has worked for some.

Well to rollback driver is easy, just run the ATI installer and check box uninstall drivers and then reboot system, run again the installer and install the install:D
