NWN server issue. (can't get into my old account)

               Okay, a different problem here.
I bought a brand new copy of Neverwinter Nights with a new PC CD Key.
Installed everything just fine for a server I am on.
Now I try to get into the server, and it says I am not the same person because it is not the same CD Key.
What should I be doing to get access to my old characters? Just contact the server administration, or something else entirely?

               Makes sense.  Accounts are made unique with those keys.  Too bad you don't have a record of what the old ones were.  The game installation itself doesn't care which keys are used as long as they are valid codes, but multiplayer does when it comes to creating an account. 

Why not just join the server with a new account?  Unless it has been within a few months, it is normal procedure to delete inactive accounts, meaning all the toons that were associated with it.  To make sure, contact the server admin to find out how long idle accounts are retained.  That is your only recourse.

               If you player account is being Is tied to a CD-Key on a server.  It is the People running the server who have set it up that way.  In fact it is not that uncommon of a practice since the master server has gone down.  

You where correct that you will have to get ahold of the server admin for the PW to get the problem taken care of.
