If you guys can tell me how to get a better dump, I'll be happy to post it up. I did go to school for an A+ cert, but it didn't really click for me the same way, and I decided to change to something else. In my defense, I did go step by step through the sticky, several times.
You are correct about the ATI card, however. I'd not even thought to check for this kind of issue when picking a card to install (probably another reason why I went for something other than computers). My priorities were getting it to fit in the cheap dell case, keep it under the suspected limits of the cheap dell power supply, had to run cool, and had to run Fallout New Vegas.
