                My Ubuntu server crashed and now I get this 


mountall fsck /boot mountall: fsck/boot [258] terminated with status 1   


I dont have command prompt. 

What do I need to do?

               Looking at the output there it looks like it has been unable to mount your /boot partition, which might indicate a filesystem error, unfortunately I am not very experienced in things such as this and you might get more help at the forum specific to your distro at: http://ubuntuforums....splay.php?f=327 .

               Exit status 1 for fsck usually means that fsck found errors on the partition it checked, but was able to repair them in automatic mode. The boot process should continue. If it does not, reboot your server. If it still does not boot normally and does not give you any type of maintainance mode (ubuntu should start busybox in that case), you will have to boot with another means. An ubuntu install cd of your current version or a knoppix cd will do fine. Than you have to fsck the file systems on your hard drive manually and see what happens.
