NWN has encountered a problem
« on: April 24, 2011, 01:12:11 pm »

               Hello!
I recently re installed NWN. Updated it using the critical build and began playing a none CEP server...
All went nice and smooth untill I attempted to play again a different server, (Harry Potter) I built a new char in a new username and a message came up telling me I am missing a hak - 'cep2.3'.
I entered the Harry Potter forum and saw I should use the CEP updater in order ro recieve this hak. (DONE after sevral hours).
But now, when I attempted to log in to this server with different user names and different chars, I recieve a message saying:

''Warning Neverwinter has Encountered a problem and needs to close'' and gives me two options; ''send'' or ''don't send'' (In both cases I can't continue playing.

I'll add here that this happens only in this certain server. I tried logging into the old server I was playing that does not require CEP and it works fine with no problems. :\\

HELP!!!

Thanks in advance.

BTW - the Harry Potter Server uses CEP 2.3 not 2.4.

I don't think the CEP updater gave me CEP 2.4 though as the CEP team did say something about having to download manually from the vault the CEP 2.4 update.

Just incase i'm wrong.

As far as I remember, the CEP team made it clear you should not use the CEP Updater anymore. Since CEP 2.4 came out, they explained the guy in charge of the updater was gone, and they were ditching the whole tool, so maybe it has something to do with your issue. Try dropping them a line.
