Graphic and Sound Glitches
« on: February 08, 2011, 09:21:11 pm »

When attempting to play NWN DIAMOND edition v1.69 on Windows 64x Professional I have encountered two major "glitches" that degrade the game experience for me.  First off, the game does run fine as I run it in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3 and turn off visual themes and desktop composition.  The problem is that the game does not have -any- sound at all.  I've tried every single possible combination of settings in the sound options to no avail.  Secondly the game appears to not be loading textures or models correctly leaving me with a smooth blurry game world that looks kind of like some horrible failed attempt at cell-shading.  I'm playing on a Fujitsu lifebook intel core i5, and using an intel integrated graphics chip.

This is a screenshot of the main menu, for some reason "Shadows of Underntide" is blurred so much as to be unreadable.

This is a screenshot of the multiplayer browser, the gamespy logo is unreadable and the bars are heavily distorted.

This is a screenshot of the prelude with my dwarf, notice the heavy blurring and lack of facial features.

'Ello I am tech savy but not fully. I wanted to know how you fixed it by "rolling back" your drivers. If you could explain where to go and ect. I am running windows 7 so I do not know if you can be of assistance. I have never had this before when I played a long time ago, I took a year off and then came back, and now I have the same problems as you but I still have sound. I just have the graphics glitch. Sorry to bug.
