Sigh, Random Model Removal?
« on: January 09, 2011, 02:56:48 am »

Ok, I was basically playing on multiplayer when my cat had to lay down on a keyboard that was apparently hooked into my computer because (It was wireless too) of the wireless mouse I had. So my game had a seizure and I had no idea what was happening. Before I found out it was the cat, though, I closed NWN1 and re-opened it twice to see if it was a game problem. I stumbled upon a weird....glitch you might say, and every single humanoid model was not too be seen. Only it's shadow and outline (If you pressed TAB) did you see. I'm just curious as to what the heck this is and how to fix it. It's obviously very moment breaking and frustrating to be thin air doing everything a human would. Oddly enough, enemies' models weren't...removed. I could see them bright as day. Anyhoo, could someone please tell me what the problem is and kindly tell me how to fix it.

               1. (Persuade) Ask the cat, nicely, what it did. *offering large fish* <>
2. (Intimidate) Torture the cat ''
3. (ATI video card) Experiment with different settings for catalyst AI. No idea how your cat changed them but it's a possible solution. Mine works best on "standard". My other computer needs it turned off completely.
4. Go ingame and under video settings unclick show environmental effects on characters.
5. Do a system restore if it was working fine before.

Good Luck '<img'>

I certainly hope you don't have a cat Shia, it would have used up it's nine lives by now!

She has the right of it though, fiddle with the AA settings especially, effects seem to vary wildly for some folks.
