Return of the freezing creatures!

Hehe... as enjoyable and interesting this pagefile thing is, it doesn't seem to affect my "freezing-on-activate-script" problem. Nonetheless, thanks, Xenovant, for bringing it up. I still think the issue may be related to disk write/swap, so your input may not be far off target!

Have you tried any system optimization program for gaming? I recomend you GameBooster

Actually I did try two of them, including gamebooster, but it seems their optimizations work by disabling redundant or pasive windows services which are not needed while you play. The thing is, one of the first things I did when the freezing started was download an app which disables/stops all unnecessary services, so there isn't much left to "optimize". In my tests, the issue wasn't solved by this or the aforementioned optimizers. You are correct, however, it is one more thing already checked in the list. Hopefully after so trying many things, eventually I may reach the core of the problem!

So... let's phrase the issue in a different way: Does anyone know why I could be having freeze-framing whenever a script fires up, like say, creature spawns, encounter spawns, merchant inventory opening, container inventory opening, spell casting?

Same rules apply. By this, I mean the thing certainly worsens the more custom content I add, but is not caused by such, for it exists even on clean installs of the game. Some have suggested it is related to disk swap/reading, but after several tests, it seems unlikely...
