Toolset vs. NVIDIA Control Panel
« on: August 18, 2010, 12:54:36 pm »

               Hi.
First, system specs!

ASUS Rampage II Extreme
INTEL Core i7 960/3.2G LGA1366 8MB 4.8GT
G.SKILL 12GB DDR3 Kit (6x2GB) PC3 12800 1600MHz
2x PointOfView GeForce GTX 470 1280MB DDR5 (SLI)
and 2x 500GB 7200rpm run in RAID (game drives)
+ another 4TB of drivespace for other sh*t
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

I have just re-installed nwn, and amazingly enough(after what I have read in different forums) have no problems at all running it.../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png

But when it comes to the toolset, well... I run all games on highest NVIDIA settings(including Crysis Warhead../../../images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png) without any problem, with high fps. But it seems that the toolset doesn't like to run with anisotropic filtering at 16x and antialiasing at SLI 64x with SLI 16x (supersample) and... well, you probably get my point.
It gets all laggy and jammy.../../../images/forum/emoticons/sad.png
This, of course, wouldn't be a problem if I could change those settings on JUST the toolset in the NVIDIA Control Panel(later referred to as 'the panel'). And that worked just fine, before I restarted after the installation... ../../../images/forum/emoticons/angry.png

I can add the 'nwtoolset.exe' to the panel, but I can't change any options. And when I close the panel, the toolset disappears from it. And when I try to add 'nwmain.exe', it just jumps to the already added 'nwn.exe'.

From what I can understand, does the panel know that both 'nwtoolset.exe' and 'nwmain.exe' is opened from 'nwn.exe'... ../../../images/forum/emoticons/wondering.png ...duh!../../../images/forum/emoticons/pinched.png

just figured it out..../../../images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png
Don't open it from the nwn-loader, use the 'nwtoolset.exe' in the folder.

Still posting it incase someone else gets this problem.../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png
