Editing Appearance?
« on: February 20, 2013, 05:52:47 pm »

I'm sorry for asking a lot of questions/complaining, but I'm having another issue.

I can't seem to edit the NPC's I place in my module. I add gear to them, armors and the like, the only thing that changes is they hold a different weapon. When I open the appearance tab in the Properties menu, all the selections are greyed out.

Is there something I forgot?

You want to select the default HUMAN appearance, not one that is preset (Human, Male 03, as an example).

Under the Creature Properties window, with the BASIC TAB, change Appearance to Human.

This will give you a naked Human. Do the same for Elf, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Gnome or Halfling.

You can also now modify how the NPC looks. Select the APPEARANCE TAB. Here you can modify the head, add wings or tails, etc.

Click on the INVENTORY BUTTON, and put the clothing you want the NPC to wear, on their ARMOR SLOT. The same applies for other gear you want the NPC to have.

Preset NPC Appearances cannot be modified in terms of how they look. They're static. You can get away with adding weapons to them, perhaps even cloaks, but that would be all in which would be displayed in-game that you yourself have added.

Have fun!

FP!
