La Spada di Belchen
« on: October 29, 2011, 03:22:07 pm »

Has anyone here played the Italian-language mod "the sword of Belchen"?
I've decided to try it but there's a bug right at the beginning : instead of the usual walking and running animations, my character moves with a kind of weird bouncy step, with its arms swinging and heels kicking up... In fact, it looks just like the animations used for slaadi or lizardmen.

I'd be really grateful for suggestions. I know it's not a game-breaking bug, but I just can't see myself playing for 30+ hours with a character looking like that...

No. Try without your override folder... just in case.
But don't trash it...
It could be a phenotype problem... More complicated.
Did you create your PC within this very module?  Or did you import it from a previous game?

Thanks for your reply. I tried emptying my override folder, but it didn't help.

I also tried the mod with a new character as well as an imported one, but I got the same result. Something odd is that in one instance, my imported character got a different head...

I'm thinking it might have something to do with that special patch that makes CEP v1 work with 1.68 ... Or not. That's very, very weird.

add cep 1 patch 1.69 to the module? Again just a suggestion.
There should also be same console command that sets your phenotype. "SetAppearance" if I recollect correctly.

Try googling "nwn phenotype Set Appearance"?I used to know that too, but it's just so easy to switch between (some) phenotypes now that I'm using the tip N°3 in my list in my signature, I long time forgot the console way.

Problems like these do not depend on the module, but on conflicts of Haks or override.
Cephorus, which chapter you are playing? The first or the second?
If (as I'm sure) you speak Italian, you can contact me directly on neverwinteritalia forums trying to figure out how to solve the problem ..

Looks like the problem's solved... I simply opened the belchen.hak file and removed all the mdls beginning with "a_ba". Brutal, but effective.

Thanks for your answer, Beerbaron... I'll contact you if I run into other problems.
Now, on with the adventure !
