Question about the Citadel module
« on: May 05, 2011, 06:36:35 pm »

Quick question for anyone who has played the module before.  I know that the module advertises adult, gay, and lesbian content; but are the romance and adult content gay and lesbian only? I haven't gotten far in the module (Simultaneously playing Torn Asunder at the moment) but it seems like only men are interested in my character so far. Like I said I haven't gotten far so I might answer my own question but would appreciate if any that have played the module could give an answer. Thanks!

Question about the Citadel module

First, that is such a wonderful module. One of my games "de chevet". Funny, sexy, smart, brilliant, beautiful, powerful, imaginative, modern, poetical, almost crazy enough for my personal test.
I'm a guy, who, unfortunately, happens to like girls only in life, and I never felt having any problem with that story the whole way. I don't mind seduction from wherever side it comes from, as long as everyone knows how to keep it civilized. And that's how that module works. You want something? Agree, make your move. You don't? Don't, just say it, politely. It won't go any further.
Very real life.
I don't know if you're into dancing, but I am, and if you ask me to choose between a gay club or a straight boring one... I already chose a long time ago. Actually, I wouldn't be that surprised gaming might just go the same way.
Beside, I truly didn't find this "freedom" being so important at all in that module, and never embarrassing. How could freedom ever be embarrassing anyway... Actually, you're right: I barely remember any advanced romance in it. To the point I kind of missed it even.
But I don't care about love in game... to be perfectly honnest. Only if my partner happens to be of my liking, I would find rather stupid not to ask her (or him, as I play mostly girls) for bed once in a while. Most surprisingly, I don't remember Citadel going even as far as bedding. They're only pretending... :innocent:
Almost disappointing... '<img'>
Speak with girls, they might respond...
It's just a game, and a very good one. Only an open minded one.
Enjoy yourself fully, no one is ever gonna force you to do anything you don't want to do there. Only maybe it's gonna make you think twice about "the frightening idea". That's how far it would ever go.
And that, I always found it intersting.
I'm curious. About everything... including myself.
I've been playing it a few times, and I'm still married.

This story is about seduction, flirting, caressing, not sex.
Perhaps its only weakness... ''

But, above all, to me, Citadel, by Jim Grimsley, Madeleine St. Romain, Jeff Tyson is a true NWN cult piece of heart. <3>

Thanks for the response jml. The content wasn't a deterrant to me at all as like you said the module makes clear you can avoid all the adult content/flirting if you really want to. I was just curious about the romance relationships.

I don't remember anything big on the romance point of view. But it's been a long time. And not the most important part of the piece.
Enjoy yourself.

Its been a while since I played this module but I agree, Fantastic module for nwn1, jim, madelaine , jeff, hmdai and others spent a lot of time working out the bugs in this game and all credit to them.
you can play solo if you wish.
Another mod that is truly brilliant was made by a young frenchman in a saga of three parts la spada something is all I recall .

               <trying to save...>

Found a salvaged copy of the mod and added it to the project page on the Vault. So it should be playable now. Grab the proper 05b support archive (music or no-music) and the mod and you should be in bidness.

Edit: Feedback is always appreciated :-) I can't fix things if I don't hear about them :-P

<...the nose he keeps sticking into other peeps bidness>

Question about the Citadel module
« Reply #6 on: November 26, 2013, 03:05:59 am »

               I can't find Alexia.
Mindy has spoke to me as if we had found Wonderland dungeon.
And returning to Ibbas with the book, I tell him about Wonderland, but I haven't actually found it.
There is a locked door in the Dungeon under the castle (leading down) but I don't have the key for it.
Is that Wonderland dungeon, if so where is the key?
Edit:
You obtain the key to the first Wonderland area from the Chief Drover’s body after you fight with him in the Esmayd Dungeon. This is the only copy of that key.Anyone no a code to spawn this key? I've searched all the remains in the dungeon & can't find that key.

The walkthrough makes it sound like finding her should be easy & goes into no detail.

               Thanks for the reply werelynx.
While it was potentially one of the best NWN1 mods ever, it is very buggy & the combat is way over the top.
So I don't think I'll learn to use the toolset just to play it.
