               Its called a Spam Bot.

I used to get these alot of the time on my Forum until I added Humanity Checks. eg - Recaptcha to the Registration Process.



I find it interesting though, that someone would go through the process of actually making an automated script for Bioware forums specifically.



Automation Tools - That I work with, as a Software Consultant / Automation Engineer, require that the script be tuned to the application that they are intended to work with.



Granted, you get ones that can work on loads of Forums, but they are generally all based of the same Forum Technology.

eg - SMF Forums, even if they have different looking themes etc, they have all of their buttons, web edits etc, identically named, or identified, which is why an automated script on one forum, might work on another smf forum.



Why on earth would someone waste their time, making an automated script to work on Bioware Social Forums, there isnt much re-usability factor.

Its sad, but some people actually make money via scam/spam bots.
