As you probably know by now, I maintain a catalogue of all the submissions to all of the monthly custom content challenges. For those who don't know what the catalogue consists of here is how I describe it on the vault (after 2+ years it's no longer new as far as I'm concerned) page.
This is simply a standard .xlsx spreadsheet with 5 worksheets. The first worksheet contains a complete listing of the contents of every month's challenge from the very first one right up to the last one completed and released. Pages 2 and 3 contain the same data, just in different orders.
- Sheet one is in chronological order
- Sheet two is ordered based on the creator’s name alphabetically
- Sheet three is ordered based on the item’s name alphabetically
The last two worksheets are really just there for fun. Sheet four contains statistics relating to the data in the first three sheets and sheet 5 presents some of the information from sheet four, in the form of a bar graph.
As I have been maintaining it for several months now, you may be wondering why I have started this thread now. This is down to the events of yesterday. AD posted March's ccc and as soon as I found out I updated and posted the catalogue to the vault. I also posted a notification of this update in the March ccc thread. Some hours later AD posted April's ccc on the vault. Again I put an updated version onto the vault and posted a notification in April's ccc thread. During the time between the first and second catalogue updates, some people had already downloaded the first update. Since the second update there have been no downloads. So those people who downloaded the first updated version, now have an out of date one. I can only conclude that they didn't realise there was a second update on the same day.
In order to hopefully avoid this happening again, I will in future announce updates to the catalogue in this thread.
