Irony: Canceled Premium Modules

On the other hand, it's perhaps not terrible that we are running out of (or have run out of?) other games' (and premium modules') content to rip. If more modders started to focus on increasing their skill levels and creating their own content, the Vault's 'new community content' updates might be a deal more lively.

So much seems to be ripped from other games (NWN2 not least) that it feels as if, with a few notable exceptions (DLA, CODI, Q, some of the tileset guys' work), NWN custom content doesn't see much innovation, or have much identity of its own.

Just a thought.

From what I heard, CODI didn't sign any contract yet, so I believe in this case the problem are not legal issues but that the CODI members have moved on and are out of reach, and it may also be that they lost some of the content themselves...

Well, I seem to recall that WotC having the final say on whether any Planescape content developed for a premium module could be released in any form was what doomed the whole thing...

Actually, though, looking back at messages from the last successful contact attempt that I know of, I see that I was wrong about the non-disclosure agreement - apparently it's believed that this wouldn't apply to the developed content at this stage.  However, the content is noted as being incomplete.  We'll see!

The members of the disbanded CODI team have been contacted several times over, without much avail so far. I honestly wouldn't hold my breath for any of that content to ever see the light of day, but don't let me stop you.

That reminds me, I might still have their old Mortuary tileset on one of my hard disks, any takers? '<img'>

Double yes.  I'm actually working with a couple fellows planning a Planescape PW based in Hive Ward; we're looking for any CODI material we can get (I think we have all the CEP & Vault stuff), as well as anyone who wants to develop new content or stories.

Like SkullportLegends.com, this will be an open project; if you want more info, message me with your e-mail or mail  garrison at skullportlegends.com.
