Personally, I'd like the ability for quote-boxes to include time and date information from the original post they quote (like they did on the old forums).  It made finding the context of the original quote much easier, thus facilitating better discussion.

Even better would be if quote-boxes linked back to the original post they quote...

OK, just a thought but how difficult would it be for the tech guys for this site to change the forums front page in the following way. Add expand all, collapse all links and plus signs that change to minus signs on each major forum heading (e.g. DAO, Mass Effect, NWN 2, NWN etc.) to allow individual forum types (as previously mentioned) to be open/closed. Then add a single machine word to a users stored profile, for flags to indicate which ones each person has open/closed normally.

Another thought how about a fully signposted entry in the FAQ explaining what all icons on the forum pages actually mean. It's hard enough finding the faq in the first place, they could at least make it relevant.

               Well met.

Tarot, just thought I would jump in and say how much your new chosen avatar suits you. A better character and expression you could not have picked. Glad to see you made it to the boards and didn't have a terrible accident on the way.

Blessings.

the ability to upload our own (avatar).

I want to bump this one up as Avatar personalization is something that makes forum less boring and gives identity (albeit electronic) to its members.  Even if we can link our avatars to third party site, should BW lack desire to host them, it would be still much better than current avatar policy...

I could not agree more and it also helps reading through the forums for me as sometimes I read someones message and go what the and then realize it is not even them just the same pic....

I'd like to take email alerts a step further.  I'm on another board where you can subscribe to a topic and pick if you want an alert at all, an instant notification, daily notification or a weekly notification.  Just depends on how important a topic is to you.

The ability to register all bioware games and show a little icon below your avatar. Its the little things... :S

And add emoticons that can be typed... '<img'> It cuts back on the RSI for clicking on the right emoticon...

Hey, folks, these are all great suggestions, but this is in the wrong place. For forum and sub-forum suggestions, please post in the Social.bioware.com Site Help forum, and please consider that resources for making changes to the website are extremely limited and we already have a huge to-do list and ideas of our own. But we do try. Thank you very much, and welcome!

End of line.
