Struggling to pass the source stone sanctuary

                I'm playing as a level 16 paladin with Linu La'neral as my companion. The moment I enter the source stone sanctuary, I get attacked by two Old One Warriors, and I always die within two or three minutes. I have plenty of potions and healing spells, I've tried using the Stone of Recall, but I can't seem to successfully win this battle. As of yet, I haven't even managed to get either one beyond the 'Barely injured' status. Is there any way of changing this, or am I simply not at a high enough level?

               Could you give us some more information about your paladin?  Some general advice:

1. Make sure you're using a 1H and shield if you're struggling

2, don't bother memorizing healing spells as a paladin, it's not worth it.  Stick to potions

3, make you cast Aid, Bless, Bull's Strength, and Greater Magic Weapon on yourself.

4, as a more advanced tactic, use Prayer and Divine Favor to add a shorter duration bonus

5, going on the above, here's the spells you probably want memorized (assuming you have no metamagic feat (Extend ideally))

Paladin 1: 1 Bless, rest Divine Favor
Paladin 2: 1 Aid, 1 Bull's Strength, 1 Aura of Glory, 1 Eagle's Splendor
Paladin 3: 1 Greater Magic Weapon, rest Prayers
Paladin 4: 1 Death Ward, 1 Freedom of Movement, rest Holy Swords

               Oh, and your level is plenty high enough.  To be blunt, you're suffering from one or more of the following problems:

1, bad character build
2, bad gearing
3, bad gameplay

Hard to tell which it is with such limited information, though.

               Probably bad character design, to be honest. Still, I made it past them after a while, thanks for your help.
