Cloaks VS Good
« on: April 21, 2012, 02:07:26 pm »

                HI everyone,
so, I find cloaks of this kind, +2 or +5 VS good but when am I supposed to use them since my opponents (At least in the OC) are evil monsters or neutral guards? Is there a point into using them? What do you think about it?

Thx!

You are correct. There are very few good-aligned creatures in the OC who become opponents, even by accident. I have never done anything with those cloaks (or other items with a bonus versus good, e.g. Flail of Jergal) except sell them.

On the other hand, a cloak of Protection from Neutrality would be quite handy, but there are none in the campaign.

               Any of the metallic dragons.

Naturally, it is a roleplay decision whether you would want to tarnish your pristine reputation by such an act.

TBH, trying to keep track of all the chaotic monsters (slaads, some dragons, driders... etc) is more difficult for me so I seldom would consider those " +X vs. chaotic" items either.
