No problems until Marrok

               the game has gone well for me without any stumps until Marrok. when i put Chainmail +1 and diamond on forge and go back to him he says that there not the right items. And when he looks in my bag of inventory with chain +1 and diamond in bag he says the same thing no can do. my games been updated to windows 1.69 for the game so i am definitely stumped.  Anyones help would be great thx. lol every once in a while a monkey wrench has to keep us on our toes.

               Long time but try with a basic armor maybe, regular, +0, nothing already enhanced by some smitty else. You know, artists, they can get really touchy sometimes...
Is he not only asking for money? I never used the guy myself, as the most of the time in NWN, I find the best stuff on the road.

               he seems to require certain magic items already enhanced. for instance leather +1 with component will be enhaced to halfplate +3 er or +2 cant recall either or. But my chainmail +1 will go to really high like +3 or 4 and be full plate. lol the thing is i wear a halfplate +1 below fullplate right now so then i will sell it for a little money.

               I don't recall bying in the OC, neither almost anywhere else, should I say I'm not of the consumer type... Look around, life is a gift.
So gaming should be.

No need to feel stumped, amigo.  Been there, done that.

What the designers neglected to do in the Chromatic recipe was place some information in the recipe book to indicate that only enchanted BREASTPLATE will work in that recipe.  That's seems out of whack to me since both breastplate and chainmail have the same base AC and either +1 version meets the apparent requisite.  BTW, if you have enough smuggler coins you can buy a "free" breastplate from the auctioneer in the Seedy Tavern.

Marrok's customizations use the identical recipes and produce the same item as Barun in Ch 3 except the latter ones have much better enhancements applied.  There appears no rhyme or reason why the +X enhancements vary from item-type to item type, but yes, you won't know what the extent is until you craft each one.  That's what one of advantages of the save-reload routine is.'>
