Mimic eats puzzle ring isntead of armor! Game over!

               There could not have been any type of worse error in this game - first i am informing you that there is a bug that occours right when you enter the Mimic chamber - you get striped of your puzzle ring, which is essential for getting pass some blue pillars.

Has anybody encountered this before?

Can anybody make a script, that would fix this in whatever way possible? Or is there a cheat that would fix my problems in whatever way?

               I've never had that happen, but there may be a bug in the script that supposed to handle the case when the PC isn't wearing armor.

You can use the console to get the ring. At the chat prompt, enter the following lines

##DebugMode 1
##dm_spawnitem hx_puzzle_ring
##DebugMode 0

Before hitting enter for the second line, make sure the mouse is over a spot that you can get to.

               I forgot that there is a cheat that spawns items...

Very nice...

I spawned a ring and continued - when i destroyed the mimic, i thought that he should drop the original stolen ring, but no!
