SPOILER - Blue Dragon / Grim Statue room

               yallo,

SPOILERS:

i remember in the Undermountain Centre (1st floor)  there was a room with a Blue Dragon (some results in search engines gave the name of Grim Statue).... There is a room to the southeast of t he level that i cannot pick the lock. When u touch it, there is a message "maybe will open later"...

I think I cleared this level (killed everybody, already solved the colour column puzzle), yet it is still closed... Is this a bug? or do i need something to open it? the only thing i could not solve was that gargoyle statue puzzle, because of the ridiculous fact that when u press the lever the statue is locked forever (and one of the statues got moved a little before i pulled it, so i never got that door unlocked), but i would not imagine the key to Blue Dragon room was in there, was it?

               Check the 2nd link in my signature. There is an OCs wakthrough (*31) with everything in it. And most of the time "maybe will open later" means "but not in your lifetime".

There's an OnDeath script that's supposed to open the door when the dragon dies.  If not, then yes, the script didn't fire so it bugged out for you in that game.  The "something" you needed was the dragon's death.

No key, but IIRC there are two decent magic items there.  (BTW for anyone else needing this spoiler, the statue puzzle is in the South Undermountain Lvl 1.)

One way to handle the puzzle is to first SAVE and then wait until they do the shift routine, then immediately start clicking one until the laser beam emits, and then quickly throw the lever, and then SAVE!  Rinse and repeat for the next one.  If your timing is off and you happen to throw the lever just as the next shift occurs... U R biffed.  Just reload and try again.  Notice that positioning the last statue will destroy the door without needing to lock it.
