Character cursed
« on: December 09, 2010, 05:16:47 pm »

               My Fighter just got cursed.
How does effect him?
How to I cure it?
Or will it just go away in time?
Thanks'Posted
Also, guys if I'm being a pain with the questions, please let me know. As usual, trying  to play without a walk-through.

You have fewer options in SoU since there are no temples except in the Interlude and I don't remember a cleric there either.  Some modules provide either a healer or a well to apply the restoration effect. Only Greater Restoration or Remove Curse will remove a curse.  The curse effect is lowering some ability score, often Strength or Dexterity.  Resting won't help.  Increasing your Will saves is a common way to prevent further curses.  Fighters usually have low Will saves.

Greater Restoration scrolls are expensive, but 1 or 2 are a must for any non-casting class.

Keep playing without a walk-through.  It's more fun and you will learn faster. '<img'>

               Of curse
Don't forget to Wiki! First tip on my inescapable list.
If you are a pain, then we all are.
At least I am. Very proud of it, as a matter of fact, short for AAMOF.
How do you think we, NWN gods, know everything, finally?
We learned it, here for the most.
And by playing. True! Without a walkthrough... now that I read them all...''
I used to hate that effect. I had my revenge, years later, by bestowing it at will!
Your time shall come.

What ch are you in? In CH1 If you got the herbs for whats her mane at the school she can cure you.

So can the statue in the tom whee the kobots are hiding.

In the Interlude the Fortain Teller can cure you.

Good job, as usual, Westan!

Ch1 - Ayala, in Drogan's House
The Elf Statue in the Elven Crypt , level one (only with the correct choice, however)
Daschnaya, in the Caravan Camp - I never knew the fortune teller went into the desert with the halflings.  This is so kewl to find out there is still someone inside the wagon in the caravan.

It's great to know there is some free curing in SoU after all.  Guess I must have had other things on my mind playing it.

One good way to get cursed is to deface that Elf Statue.

in Ch2 you are on your own. It would be best if one gets a few Remove Curse scrolls b4 Ch2;).
