Title: Is there a thread dedicated to the magical goodies you should be collecting?

Frex I wasn't aware that the Scabbard of Blessing could only be collected in chapter 1, and after reaching 8th level, until I read that on these forums.

Only discovered on current play thru that deliberately failing membership of the Mage's guild allows you to retake the test, picking up 4 wands each time for a couple of hundred gold - including a wand of stoneskin. (And even a 4th lvl PC can collect the 4 items required for the test, so that's nice goodies for a 4th level character!)

Henchmen plot items of course; have known for many years that the rings from Tomi and Boddyknock can be duplicated using the pool, and stack, but apparently other people aren't aware of that.

The forge downstairs is nice of course, especially if you use a Magic Weapon spell rather than wasting a real magic item.

What else is floating around?

This not true. Scabbard drop as random in many boss chest any chapter. Yah, it on higher item value list so being higher level help. If do reload will get it sometime. Work the same as Bless/Aid pots tho. Lot of gold in OC so pots cheap to buy.  Still must slot both spells anyway so save no slots.  Save some weight is all.

Not sure if test play different for you, but wands always disappear for my toons when win or fail so no "free" stuff after leaving test place. You play v1.69?  They fix most OC screw-up by last patch.

This just cheat so can use console for cheating in item if you like play that way. Quest reward from hench overpowering even for just one of each.

All weapons easy to find. Cheat not help with armor anyway. They just write script wrong to not see temporary item bonus. Better modules always write stuff like this better.

Reason for no list because OC so easy, no need. Most time exploit happen cuz builder not write script good or mark plot when should not be able to show up in pool.

Am thinking you should type into title of this topic -Spoiler- so new ppl know what they will read might spoil.  What you write really have nothing to do with "should be collecting",  just bugged script exploit.

Just popping in to mention that certain exploits (using the term loosely) that aren't closed off in the OC aren't really bugs or poor scripting. The OC was written before some of those exploits were available. For example, it wasn't an scripting oversight if the OC's forge doesn't check for temporary item properties. Those properties simply weren't available as PC spells when the OC was released.

The exploits available in HotU... Well, many of those qualify as scripting oversights. ;-)
