I would like to start my first OG-SoU-HoU playthrough. I know what type of character I would like to play - basically a warrior with some minor magic (mostly buffing and passive spell effects).
I already discarded Paladin, Cleric, Druid and Ranger - mostly for RP reasons (Paladin and Cleric) or because I don't know how to play such classes (especially Rangers).
I want either:
Fighter/Wizard (or Fighter/Sorcerer)
Bard
I heard Fighter/mage class multiclass isn't as good as it used to be in previous Bioware games (I heard it was one of most favorite multiclasses in Baldur's Gate). I would like to hear from more experienced player whether it is worth to create such character and if so, how many levels of both classes should I take to be a decent fighter and still have a few good spells to use.
As for Bard, I know they are very powerful (I played 15 level Bard for a ten minutes and he was very tough - Improved Invisibility and Bard song are an adventurer's best friends), I just would to ask whatever it would be better to stick to Bard in higher levels or take levels of Red Dragon Disciple.
I hope someone is still reading this dark corner of Bioware Forum. If not, I might get my answer by few experiments with newly created characters in HoU.
